Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian’s meeting with Václav Hampl, the Chairperson of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

On June 8 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by Václav Hampl, the Chairperson of the Committee on EU Affairs of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The interlocutors discussed a wide array of issues related to the Armenian-Czech bilateral relations, Armenia’s cooperation with the EU and the agenda within the EU Eastern Partnership initiative. The sides also touched upon topics of international and regional significance. The Ambassador thanked Senator Hampl for his support to the adoption by the Senate of the resolution dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII, which also condemns the crimes against humanity committed during the two World Wars, including the Genocide perpetrated against the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
